CARE-FLARE’s High-Power Flashlight is visible at night from over 2000 meters away. This is thanks to ultra-powerful LED. The 360° visibility and 140° directional luminosity, together with the high design of CARE-FLARE, ensure maximum visibility and safety for your emergency forces even on hilly and unpaved roads.
CARE-FLARE was developed to withstand the adverse influences of tough use for many years without any problems. The robust and sophisticated aluminum construction thus ensures a very long service life for the CARE-FLARE warning lights. CARE-FLARE hazard warning lights have a long warranty of 5 years. However, if something should happen, our service and support as well as the high availability of spare parts help to get the flashlights back into operation as quickly as possible. CARE-FLARE warning flashlights are designed for long and reliable operation.
Nothing is more annoying than when emergency personnel constantly have to take care of the operation of the warning lights because batteries are empty or the Flashlights are not stable. CARE-FLARE is built in such a way that it always stands securely at the site of operation. This is also on sloping surfaces. Even in adverse conditions such as storms, snow, water, or pressure waves from vehicles, CARE-FLARE always stands safely at the scene and continues to reliably warn of danger. CARE-FLARE thus increases the safety of your emergency forces because they are better seen.
The lighting duration of CARE-FLARE extends over several uses. The lighting duration of CARE-FLARE is important because you should decide for yourself when the use of your warning and safety lights should end. CARE-FLARE relies on classic batteries because they guarantee a longer lighting duration than commercially available rechargeable batteries. Thanks to its 4 batteries, the warning light from CARE-FLARE flashes significantly longer than most commercially available products. Change and do not charge is the motto here to be always quickly ready for use again. CARE-FLARE can be operated for over 70 hours without changing batteries.
CARE-FLARE warning lights and flashing lights are the perfect solutions for drawing attention to a wide range of hazardous situations, providing additional security at work and emergency sites, and warning from a far distance in an effective, safe, and user-friendly way. The intuitive operation works with a single button to set the different warning variants safely and quickly. This succeeds even with gloves on in winter
CARE-FLARE warning lights and safety lights are designed to be used very quickly and effectively. The ease of use, weight and small dimensions of the High-Power LED safety lights play a crucial role for rescuers. The warning lights can also be brought to the scene from rolling vehicles. This means faster-secured operation sites and more safety for your crew. The warning lights are light enough to be used on-site for longer periods of time, yet heavy enough to always have a secure footing at the scene.
CARE-FLARE is designed to significantly reduce your costs for warning and safeguarding at operation sites. On the one hand, the CARE-FLARE warning lights and security lights are built sturdy and durable, on the other hand, these are suitable and applicable for many different purposes. So you do not need several specialized warning lights but cover a wide range of applications with CARE-FLARE. Especially compared to combustible flares, which are used in various countries, you save valuable money with CARE-FLARE. Already after one used battery pack CARE-FLARE Warningbeacons are cheaper in use.
Safety instructions for High-Power LED products – High-Power LED products such as CARE-FLARE® require a certain level of expertise to avoid health risks:
The CARE-FLARE® light can be very bright. Therefore, never look directly into it when it is near you. The strength can cause eye damage. From a distance of five meters, the danger is already much lower and therefore less dangerous.
The CARE-FLARE® should be positioned in such a way that it warns in the direction of approaching vehicles and persons. Never point the light cone at the eyes of other persons or animals. Ensure that children do not have access to the Emergency Flares and that older children are taught how to use them safely.
In each country, there are different rules regarding the placement of Emergency Flares on roads. Please inform yourself about these rules and observe them
CARE-FLARE® is maintenance-free. The integrated LED illuminants are permanently installed and cannot be replaced. Only wipe CARE-FLARE® externally with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents! CARE-FLARE® may only be repaired by an authorized dealer or the manufacturer.
CARE-FLARE® spare parts are available from your local distributor or directly from the manufacturer, Vogt-CTE GmbH.

Rescue Flashlights & Rescue Flares come in thousands of different varieties. In every shape and color, with or without LED xenon and halogen. There is hardly anything you can’t buy and hardly anything the devices supposedly can’t do. As pleasing as this variety is, in dangerous situations, rescue operations, or situations with increased safety needs, other and much higher requirements apply to the respective devices on the part of the rescue professionals. Not all Rescue Flashlights & Rescue Flares are offered to meet the required regulations or basic conditions and are simply unsuitable for use. We recommend paying attention to the following points:
It is clear that there cannot, and will not, be such a thing as universal safety. Neither in Rescue Flares nor in other life situations. But at least there are products that offer better conditions, for example, to cover the safety needs of professional emergency personnel or even to significantly increase their safety. In the case of warning lights, a Rescue Flare offers the highest level of protection when it enables people to clearly identify the danger zone from a safe distance so that they can subsequently behave more cautiously.
But of course, there are some things that make it difficult or even impossible for these Rescue Flare to function and operate reliably. For example, the Rescue Flare may not have a secure footing and may fall over, or it may simply be overwhelmed or too weak in heavy rain and dust or in extreme cold or heat. Or the complex settings of light intervals and colors significantly slow down the time to readiness because it is too complicated. Therefore, before you buy, make sure that it is sturdy and robust and that it is easy to operate even under the toughest conditions in the field. The best thing to do is to order a test sample in each case so that your employees can put it through its paces.
The service life promised by a Rescue Flare should also be an important criterion in product selection. Especially because e often quickly destroys favorable purchase prices and ends up costing more money and time. You don’t want to re-equip the emergency vehicle, nor do you want to procure different models with different battery technology when making a replacement purchase, because that means effort, increased training and service costs, and a considerable amount of extra work in equipment logistics.
Of course, it is not possible to directly determine the expected service life of a Rescue Flare. You need trustworthy information from the manufacturer and experience for your own estimation. But there are indications you can consider such as Long warranty periods of up to 5 years or the possibility to get spare parts and have the devices repaired in case of damage. This information indicates that the manufacturer has confidence in its own product. Further clues are provided by the materials from which the products are made, or whether the products are only traded or manufactured in-house, as well as whether they are CE-certified or even patented, for example.
What an Emergency Flare really costs you, you do not recognize primarily in the purchase price. It is more correct to check the total cost during a certain operating time. How much battery is consumed during active operation? How often do the Emergency Flares have to be replaced outside the warranty period? How long do do downtimes have to be accepted? Emergency Flares that are supposedly inexpensive to purchase can become significantly more expensive to use over time.
Here, a good comparison can be made between reusable and disposable products because in some cases flammable torches are still used today despite their many disadvantages. They burn at high temperatures and can start fires and injure those who use them. They are complicated to handle, burn out quickly, pollute our air, and possibly leave hazardous waste in the streets, some of which also pollute the water. Again, it is highly recommended to compare the costs incurred over time.
An emergency flare that no longer lights up even though it should is very dangerous and endangers the integrity of the rescuers. An Emergency Flare should reliably deliver the promised power. To achieve this, a certain amount of maintenance is required. The critical factor is how much maintenance is required to keep the Rescue Flares running. There are clear differences here. But it is also important how the Rescue Flares themselves handle the resources. Careful use of power resources is therefore mandatory, and that means above all efficient electronics built into the Emergency Flare. It is important that the warning light also provides visual information when battery power is diminishing.
A light should therefore be able to provide persistent and strong warnings for well over 50 hours without having to constantly change batteries. Batteries that are too small, too cheap, or too cheap make this impossible, shortening the warning time and thus your effort. The supposed advantage: The product becomes lighter or cheaper. But this is at the expense of the safety of all emergency forces.
When using an Emergency Flare, you want to be seen reliably, as early as possible. The later you and the danger zone are seen, the higher the risk and the danger for the first responders. And there are definitely some points to be aware of here as well. Roads, paths, and squares are rarely completely flat or straight. Even small hills can obstruct the straight view of the warning light, and it almost doesn’t matter how strong the luminosity of the warning light is. Special mention should be made here of the combustible flares, which usually lie flat on the ground and thus have no small securing effect in slightly hilly terrain. We recommend getting Emergency Flares which have a certain height to guarantee a warning in the distance.
But of course, it also depends on the luminosity itself. Lights that are too weak achieve only insufficient luminous ranges and thus provide too little warning. They are not to be classified as flashing lights but as blinking lights. They do not break through the attention threshold of the persons to be warned, or they are not sufficiently distinguishable from the ambient light. For the use of such warning lights during the day, the products are partly clearly too weak. It is obvious: If you want to build small and light devices, you have to rely on a reduced luminosity, if the luminous period is to be correspondingly long. In addition, it makes a difference whether the light is emitted directionally or distributed by diffusing lenses. Professional products have omnidirectional diffusion for better general visibility at short distances and directional light for distant warnings.
Products recommended for large-area use, therefore, stand out from the ground and provide safety even in hilly areas. Professional products are also visible at a 360-degree angle and have an additional and focused warning area (warning direction with increased luminosity) of more than 120 degrees and a visibility of significantly more than 1500 meters, as well as an additional option to adjust the light intervals and flashing colors to the hazardous situation.
The purpose of a warning light can be different. If it is rather PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), the device is carried by the emergency forces on the body and should be accordingly handy and light. If warning lights are used to secure an operation site, they can be carried on the emergency vehicle, which allows for a more stable design. For example, a somewhat higher weight generally increases the stability of the products.
Wind and weather must not be allowed to knock a warning light over or prevent its sensible positioning any more than passing cars or trucks. The stand of the product must be safe and stable at all times. This applies in heavy rain, when water is flowing along the road, as well as in high water or when a snowstorm is raging or on sand or ice.
In the event of an accident, seconds can be at stake. The products used must be intuitive to operate and not pose any great puzzles. Any delay has an immediate impact on the safety of both the rescuers and the injured parties. Take out, press the button and set up. This has to happen within seconds. It’s very simple: carry out a practical test with your emergency personnel.
Ideally, the products can be used in several ways. For example, to be able to give additional hand signals to warn people.
See for yourself: products that have a maximum number of light colors, light intervals and light settings are often complex to operate, not to mention that such complex electronics require a higher proportion of battery power.
Knobs, switches and dials are also always parts that can fail, they often increase the need for service and replacement parts and are generally prone to failure or water ingress. Less is more here and has a positive impact on operability and reliability. Bring samples of the products to your emergency personnel to test them through and through. We are sure: Simple and reliable products will win the race.
In this day and age, we want to be economical with the resources that are only available to us in limited quantities. This also applies to Emergency Flares. Therefore, ask whether the products have to be thrown away or whether they can be broken down into their raw materials and reused. Inquire whether discarded products are taken back and remanufactured and whether spare parts are available that significantly extend the service life in terms of a better Co2 balance. Inquire about what materials the product is made of and where and how it was manufactured.
Emergency Flares, for example, can be an environmentally conscious alternative to Combustible Flares. The latter’s hazardous smoke, chemicals, and materials are not only harmful to the environment but also increase the risk of injury to responders. Not to mention the fact that flammable materials are often present at the scene, making it impossible to use such a solution. Responsibility for people and the environment, therefore, begins in small ways. It can already start with Rescue Flare
